WX provides essential services in accelerating and supporting the business for corporate real estate, facilities operations, and the overall building environment. The WX Program Assistant role is critical in the successful identification, coordination, and execution of the tasks under the Facility Operations department and supports Business Services, Space Planning, and Buildings & Grounds programs.
Job Location:
Based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, within the 800,000 ft. facility and in service of its employees.
Job Requirements:
This position will provide direct support to Facility Operations as well as Space Planning, Business Services, and Buildings & Grounds, as well as cross-functional support with other groups, as necessary. This position is responsible for completion of daily tasks associated with those programs.
This position requires strong internal customer focus, extensive direct internal customer contact, strong critical thinking skills, high attention to detail, and an aptitude for learning system level knowledge, directly responsible for the following:
Responsibilities:
Manage employee requests via the ticketing system – review, plan, schedule, coordinate with requestor, etc.
Complete assigned tickets and document the work order management system – including work notes, time spent, closure notes, etc.
Commercial furniture and workspace assembly, disassembly, and/or modifications
Asset management and repair related to Buildings and Grounds (flooring, ceilings, roof leaks, wall repair and painting, etc.)
Repairs basic HVAC systems, lighting repairs or flooring repairs
Supports project work as needed
Repairs emergency roof leaks to limit water intrusion until roofing vendor responds onsite
Performs air filter replacements and supports Facility Engineers as needed
Power washing of sidewalks or other cleaning projects as requested
Patches and paint walls and assists AV Team with upgrades or replacement of AV equipment
Supports Space Planning team with desk moves or additions along with other space enhancements
Meeting and event set-up/breakdown in multipurpose and larger public use meeting spaces
Vendor and Contractor escort, supervision and coordination as needed
Supervision of vendors working onsite
Ensure that all operations adhere to and remain in compliance to all company policies
Building to building transportation of furniture, equipment, and other items as requested as part of tasks assigned
Inclement weather site preparations and recovery as needed
Assist with other sites as needed for projects with furniture, vendor, move scope
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Ability to work successfully both independently and within a team of varying contexts and members
Strong time management skills, highly reliable and trustworthy, and strong prioritization skills
Basic understanding of HVAC operations, plumbing repairs and lighting repairs
Ability to perform repairs on flooring, base molding and mounting shelving or hanging fixtures
Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe manner
Ability to assess and repair many different types of equipment, furniture or hardscape
Basic understanding of elevator equipment and their proper operations
Creative problem solving with superior attention to detail
Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, working on ladders, ability to lift/carry at least 50 lbs., and be on your feet for extended amounts of time.
Ability to take direction and shift priorities as necessary within short timeframes
Familiarity with basic power tools and systems furniture is required
Ability to read furniture plans and basic floor plans is desired
Valid Class A driver’s license required to operate company owned vehicles as necessary
Flexible work schedule based on project and vendor scheduling
Experience / Education /Certifications / Specific skillsets
High school diploma or an approved GED is required
An Associate degree and/or specialized training with a minimum of 2 years related experience is desired
Minimum basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, especially Word, Excel and Outlook required
Comfort with work order management software and technology on multiple devices – laptop, mobile phone, tablet
