Position will be expected to efficiently and effectively operate, maintain, repair and troubleshoot equipment assigned to crew. This position will also be expected to provide safe and productive supervision of crew during Pavement Marking Technician III's absence.
Ability to read and understand basic striping plans and perform needed layout including intersections markings. Ability to communicate with contractors, DOT inspectors, and all field personnel under your supervision. Ability to complete daily required paperwork. Understand quantities and yield conversions.

Implement striping plans and perform needed layout including intersection markings
Install Cold Applied Plastic and Preformed Thermoplastic to job specification
Operate and maintain all hand equipment including grinding equipment
Operate and maintain pavement marking equipment
Install acceptable crew specific pavement markings, to include, but not limited to, paint, thermoplastic, and markers
Follows and enforces all safety rules and regulations and wears proper safety equipment (to include, but not limited to, work boots - 6 inches with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest)
Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures
Complete daily paperwork accurately
Mentors, and communicates effectively with team members
Takes pride in work by providing the highest level of customer service
Excellent attendance required, dependable transportation, good work ethic
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
CDL or ability to obtain, good driving record
Pass a DOT drug screen
Pass a DOT Physical
Pass a criminal background screen
Hold or ability to obtain required industry certifications, i.e. pavement marking certification, flagger, forklift, work zone installer, OSHA 10/30
Weekly assignments vary locally and throughout Central & Eastern NC
Work schedules may include days, nights, and weekend work; Per Diem for meals and hotel expense paid when overnight travel is required. Shift premium paid for night work
