Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Framing Carpenter to join our team in our wood production shop. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all aspects of wood framing, possess a strong understanding of construction drawings, and have a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently constructing wood frames according to project specifications. Will specifically work on production line building wood trusses.
Responsibilities:
Construct and assemble wood frames for walls, trusses, and other wood structures using various hand and power tools.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and construction plans.
Measure, cut, and shape lumber, plywood, and other wood materials.
Ensure accurate and precise framing according to specifications and tolerances.
Use pneumatic nail guns, saws, drills, and other carpentry tools safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Inspect finished frames for quality and accuracy.
Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Framing Carpenter, preferably in a wood production shop or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of wood framing techniques and construction methods.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools common to carpentry.
Excellent measurement and mathematical skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
