Independent Auto Repair Shop in need of Automotive Service Writer.

Position Qualifications:
Must have the ability to multi task, have excellent attention to detail, communicate clearly with customers and team members on repairs needed. Keep customers updated with status of repairs. Must be able to think outside the box and provide high quality communication with customers, technicians, and vendors. Must have a sense of urgency and keep up with workflow to and from technicians and get customers back on the road in a timely manor
Must have ability to work in a fast paced, high volume workplace
Knowledge of Mitchell Management/Repair Software a plus
Must have valid NCDL
Vehicle knowledge
Excellent Computer Skills – Clearly document customer concerns and Technician notes on invoices
Excellent Customer Service Skills both in person and via phone
Ability to work M-F 8am- 6 pm
Daily Responsibilities Include:
Answer phone calls and schedule appointments with customers.
Sense of urgency with assisting flow of customers entering/exiting the business, managing/delegating work load to and from technicians, ordering parts/ following up with vendors in a timely manor, following up with customers with estimates & work completed, managing parking lot accessibility by following up with customers on timely pickup and knowing what is being dropped off
Parts research and ordering for timely repairs
