Looking for an Autobody Tech/Painter Who Is Ready to Lead the Shop Floor
We are looking for an experienced tech who has the experience and confidence to manage a small but growing shop. This person will need to paint plus supervise and mentor two less experienced techs. Ideally, this person will be production manager as we grow.
The details: this is a new company formed by restructuring a shop with a long history. The company has two owners. One has 30+ years of autobody experience. The other has 30+ years of experience as a business owner running very successful companies that started small and grew over time. The owner with autobody experience is stepping back from operations. This hire will ideally take over almost all of his day-to-day duties.
The shop is 4500 sq ft with 2 lifts, 1 downdraft booth, frame machine, 5 work bays. It is located near 540 south of Raleigh. The shop floor is air conditioned.

7 or more years as an autobody tech that includes significant paint experience. This experience should be in a collision shop with short cycle-time expectations. PPG Envirobase or other water borne paint experience is a big plus. Experience dealing with CCC Workflow Production Planning tool is a plus.
