The North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Gaming Integrity Specialist to help protect and monitor the integrity of lottery operations statewide.In this essential role, you’ll provide real-time oversight of draw operations, lead investigative efforts related to fraud and irregularities, and ensure that every aspect of our gaming process meets the highest standards of transparency and compliance.We believe diverse experiences and perspectives make our team stronger. If you are excited about this role but aren’t sure if you meet all the qualifications, we still encourage you to apply.Veterans - Your background in disciplined environments, operational awareness and structured problem-solving makes you a perfect fit for this role.The lottery was recently certified as a Great Place to Work.We have also been named a Best-in-Class Employer by Gallagher.Responsibilities:Enforce procedural integrity during daily ball machine drawingsTrack ticket inventory discrepancies and manage status changesPerform prize structure testing to ensure fair playAnalyze high-risk claims, conduct interviews, and assess fraud potentialInvestigate incidents of theft or fraud involving retailers or playersCoordinate with law enforcement and internal departmentsVerify large claims using encrypted systems and structured risk analysisConduct winner interviews to assess legitimacy and prevent fraudMonitor draw data, security alerts, and facility surveillance systemsConduct periodic emergency equipment tests and security protocol checksRequirements:Associate’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred)Relevant experience in monitoring activities, reviewing procedures, or supporting safety and compliance efforts in a structured environmentProven ability to analyze data, write reports, and interpret financial recordsProficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and investigative toolsClear, professional communication and excellent judgment under pressureWillingness to work flexible or extended hours as neededHiring for 3 different shifts available based on a modified DuPont schedule:8AM to 8PM swing12PM to 12AM2PM to 2AMThese positions are designated asessential and are NOT eligible for telework.Hiring Rate: $46,434 (This nonexempt position will be hired at or near the posted rate and offers base salary plus regularly scheduled overtime pay and 5% shift differential pay (for the applicable shifts)Closing Date: Open until filled.About the North Carolina Education LotteryWe raise money for a great cause!
