Job Description: This candidate is required to work onsite for the duration of the engagement in Winston-Salem, NC. The Technology Support Technician provides hardware, software, and programming support for end-user workstations, devices, and selected back-end systems. This support is executed by provisioning the installation, setup, testing, and monitoring of end user IT hardware, and configuration of related software programming of workstations, peripherals and user access and reporting results to the Manager/Director. This position provides Level 1 and Level 2 hardware/software end user device Support for designated Technology Support areas. The position assists in the management of the help desk ticketing system, troubleshooting client end user device issues (hardware, software, programming, configuration, editing, end user software testing) including user system access and information collection. This position works both independently and collaboratively with other members of Information Technology to solve onsite workstation hardware/software (Level III) problems and provide excellent first line service to the end users and customers within the campus community.

Required Skills:
  • Document solutions that solve client end user device problems using industry best practices, compliance requirements and IT standards (2 years)
  • Perform effective hardware, software, and other end user device installation, implementation, setup and troubleshooting (2 years)
  • Communicate effectively with IT Management, Senior Technical staff and vendors, (2 years)
  • Maintain data records, change management logs, incident reports, and associated software application and system documentation. (2 years)
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills (2 years)
  • Windows and Apple Operating system setup and configuration experience (2 years)
  • Networking to include Wi-Fi setup and configuration experience (2 years)
