Postal Annex at Lake Pine Plaza in Apex, NC, is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service and Shipping Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling shipping and packaging tasks, and managing various store operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in retail or customer service environments and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

We are seeking a full-time person, but can consider part-time options for more flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Package and Ship: Efficiently and safely package items for shipping, ensuring they meet company and carrier standards.

Handle shipping transactions and provide accurate shipping quotes to customers.

Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries and service needs. Provide knowledgeable information about Postal Annex services and products.

Computer and Word Processing: Utilize computers for various tasks, including data entry, label printing, and document formatting. Proficiently use word processing software to prepare and print documents.

Monetary Transactions: Accurately perform mathematical calculations for sales transactions. Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payments, ensuring correct financial transactions.

Printing Services: Assist customers with printing needs, including different document types and formats. Operate and maintain printing equipment and troubleshoot any issues.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage store inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels. Record and report store spending and supply needs.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail or customer service role. Previous experience in shipping, packaging, or related fields is a plus.

Skills:

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency with word processing software.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.

Capable of lifting and handling items up to 50 lbs. safely.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Additional Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.

Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
