Customer Service Specialist - Internet Sales

A manufacturing company located in Angier, NC is looking to hire a Customer Service Specialist to handle our internet sales activity. THIS IS NOT A DIRECT SALES POSITION! This is a key administrative position that oversees and handles all of our Internet Sales activity and accounts. The responsibilities of this position are as follows:

- Analyze, enter, and verify the accuracy of order information in a timely manner.

- Receive and enter product orders.

- Provide confirmation of order receipt.

- Handle inquiries of customers regarding status and delivery of orders.

- Assist customers with issues related to product or orders.

- Create and enter into customer portal all orders after shipment.

- Address all billing issues.

- Initiate and/or implement corrective action of product returns and credits.

Individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

Analytical - Understands the complexity of the information, collects and researches data, uses knowledge and experience to complement data and helps create and design workflow and procedures.

Problem Solving - Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, assist with developing alternative solutions, work well in a group problem solving situation and uses reason and compassion when dealing with difficult or emotional topics.

Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations, responds promptly to customer inquires, solicits customer feedback to improve service, responsive to requests for assistance and meets commitments.

Interpersonal Skills - Focuses on solving conflict, maintains confidentiality, listens to others, maintains control of any problem solving situation and is open to change. Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision and able to manage multiple projects effectively.

Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations, maintains a professional demeanor at all times by remaining calm during stressful situations.

Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively when communicating with our customers, demonstrates professional accuracy and is able to read and interpret written information.

Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity and openness to others, contributes to building a positive team spirit, places a high priority on the success of the team and company, always willing to help others when needed.

The ideal candidate should be able to perform the skills listed, be able to speak and communicate English clearly, demonstrate mathematical competencies and is competent working with computers and software such as Excel, Word, Outlook and financial and/or accounting software. Data entry is a key part of this position.

This is a M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM position. We offer paid holidays, paid time-off, various health and life insurance options, along with a 401(k) plan and employer match.
