KB Stephens is a 40 year old company selling lighting products in eastern NC. We represent over 100 lighting manufacturers with Acuity brands being the largest.

The Receptionist / Bid Board Administrator handles all incoming phone calls and creates project containers for our company bid board using incoming Request for Quotations (RFQs) from electrical distributors.

This support role will successfully consolidate all documentation such as contractor take offs, light fixture schedules, and project electrical drawings from multiple electrical distributors and electrical contractors to enable the sales team to assign projects and work with customers to quote and secure business. This position also develops submittal packages for projects that are negotiated and won by the sales team.

The Receptionist / Bid Board Administrator should possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The successful candidate is expected to be a self-starter, multitasker who works well under pressure, and keeps the team informed of changes.

Responsibilities of the Receptionist / Bid Board Administrator:

Manage all incoming phone calls (answering, forwarding, fielding questions)

Act as the initial point of contact for RFQs to develop and populate project containers with all documentation using company provided software

Produce project submittal packages of light fixture and controls cut sheets indicating the specific versions to be provided on the project

Basic Qualifications of the Receptionist / Bid Board Administrator:

BS/BA degree, AS/AA degree, or equivalent in relevant experience

Preference given for experience in a construction related environment, wholesale electrical distribution, or lighting specific business

Proven ability to work with multiple organizations with effective communication and project management skills

Proven attention to detail

Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Windows in general

Excellent written/oral communication skills

Ability to work in a deadline-conscious, results-driven, sales environment
