Landscape - Assistant Maintenance Foreman
Velit Services is looking for a motivated new person as a Detail Tech / Driver. We are a commercial landscape company offering landscape maintenance, irrigation, storm water, snow and ice, lighting and more.
Job Description:
Assist leading and working with a crew on landscape maintenance tasks on commercial sites. This also includes driving and operating a water truck to water flowers, planters, ornamental pond maintenance tasks, etc.
Pruning Commercial Sites
Providing Flower Maintenance, Details, Storm Water and Water Feature Maintenance, and Other Commercial Landscape duties
Mowing of turf, edging, line trimming, blowing, and basic weed control spraying
Drive a truck and trailer when needed
This is not novice position. This staff member should already know how to effectively operate commercial mowers, line trimmers, pruners, ability to drive and back a truck & trailer with no training.
Run a water truck hand watering when needed
Assist in completing BMP/SCM Reports when needed
Assist with snow & ice operations in the winter (Plow Trucks, Equipment, Sidewalk Crews, Salting Trucks, Etc.)
Complete daily electronic work orders
Complete equipment maintenance and safety inspections
Washing of trucks and equipment as needed
Job Requirements:
-Minimum of 2 years of verifiable landscape maintenance experience (Commercial Preferred)
-Ability to operate all grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively
-Must have reliable transportation to and from work
-Must be able to lift up to 65lbs when needed
-Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions for the entire shift
-Must have a Valid Drivers license and be insurable (2 Points or Less)
-DOT Medical card preferred, but not required at time of hire. Will assist you in getting within the first 30 days (Required)

As a Landscape Maintenance Detail Tech / Driver, you will be essential in maintaining the aesthetic and health of outdoor spaces. Reporting to the Landscape Supervisor, your core responsibilities will include landscape maintenance, lawn care, and irrigation management. Your supervisory experience will be valuable in guiding team efforts, while your relevant skills in tree care, gardening, and groundskeeping will enhance the quality of our landscapes.
