General Labor: Carpentry/Concrete/Lumber/Landscaping: Up to $30.00/h

THIS WORK IS FOR THE FOLLOWING DAYS AND TAKES PLACE IN DANVILLE, VA.

Friday/Saturday 12 and 13 September 2025 (2-days).

PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE AD BELOW, BEFORE YOU CALL OR SEND AN EMAIL.

START TIME EACH DAY SHALL BE 9:00AM (EST) AND WILL LAST UP TO 8 HOURS TOTAL (9am to 6pm)

(up to 8 hours work with 1-hour for unpaid lunch)

{If you are more than 15 miles from Danville, VA, one-way vehicle mileage at the rate of 0.70/mile

based on your license plate address (up to 60 miles) shall be reimbursed}

Looking for two General Laborers having previous experience working

in the following areas:

A) Framing Carpentry (Wood Beam & Column Assembly)

B) Concrete Mixing and Pouring Only (not finishing or using a trowel or float)

C) Lumber Mill Work (position and guide lumber through cutting tools and/or table stand planing tools)

D) Paint Removal and Painting ( using a hand scrapper or hand-held electric planer)

E) Storm Window or Screen Window Installation (Removal/Replacement of Windows screens)

F) Landscaping / Gardening tasks dirt moving, hole digging, hole filling, and tampering

G) Ability to scale extension ladders over 28ft to reach upper windows and roof if necessary.

All materials for task execution shall be provided to you.

Ladders / Work-benches / Work-tables / specialized tools along with step-up equipment shall be provided.

You are working with HARDWOOD LUMBER & 5,000+ PSI CONCRETE!

You are to provide these tools and/or protective equipment such as the following:

1) Work gloves / Steel Toe Work shoes (for muddy soil or concrete) along with eye protective equipment.

2) Electric or Pneumatic tools such as drill, hand-held circular saw (7-1/4inch min.), 8" Table Saw

3) Ability to listen and follow directions along with asking for clarification or demonstration on anything not fully understood

4) Ability to lift lumber, concrete, and/or soil have a weight up to 80 lbs for a distance of 15 to 50 feet.

5) Basic carpentry tools such as a Tape Measure, Line Marking Tools, Carpenter's Square, and Line Marking Tools

6) Personal hydration such a Water / Gatorade / Juice / etc.

Note: Individual Porta-Potty Bathroom(s) shall be provided on-site.
