Job Description:
As the Mobile Heavy Mechanic for Giant Development, you will be responsible for maintenance and repair of heavy construction equipment, light to heavy duty trucks and trailers. Other various tasks specific to the production of each job are assigned, as well. You will drive a company service truck with a company paid fuel card.
Inspecting machines, heavy equipment and diagnosing defects.
Coordinating the repair and replacement of mechanical parts.
Repair or overhaul mobile, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on vehicles and heavy equipment
Consult and assist other Fleet Team members on other jobs
Report damaged or faulty equipment to fleet manager
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
Individuals selected must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
Knowledge in diesel engine components, gasoline engines, general maintenance, and hydraulic systems
Comprehension of parts and service manuals to properly diagnose repairs
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Welding experience – plus
Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods of time up to ten hours per day
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Travel will be required - Raleigh Area
Some overtime may be required
