I am looking a person willing to provide companionship and assist with in home daily activities for my 90 year old mother who has dementia. Other than the dementia is in fairly good health. She has her own cottage next to our house with guest room for a caregiver's downtime.
The person would need to be able to work 24 hour shifts and some weekends. Mom sleeps most of the time, but does have Sundowners at times, and may be up late into the night.
Requirements:
Current LPN or CNA certification.
Experience with Alzheimers patients.
Good health, non-smoker, drug free.
Must have a valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Good with a person with short term memory issues, a bit hard of hearing and two cute Yorkies. Otherwise in fairly good health for being 90.
Spanish speaker not required but a big plus.
Covid Vaccinated a plus
Duties:
Companionship - willing to listen
Able to drive to go shopping and lunches on occasion
Light housekeeping
Assist with meds
Preparation of light meals
