This role offers the opportunity to learn about all parts of our business as well as the complete life cycle of an audit.Here’s what we can offer you: the opportunity to learn, a collegial workplace, flexible schedules, generous professional development and time off, and the satisfaction of knowing that your work supports public education in North Carolina.Come and grow your career in one of the most successful lotteries in the country that was just certified as aGreat Place to Work!Responsibilities:Initiates internal department audits within the organization by creating audit entrance memorandums, developing audit plans, creating audit programs, and audit entrance meetings.Creates internal audit working papers, action plans, and initiates internal audit exit memorandums and exit meetings.Performs fieldwork on active department audits, reviewing policies and/or procedures, department documentation pertinent to the audit and departmental reports.Observes prize drawings conducted by the Security staff.Serve as an Internal Audit representative for organizational meetings as needed.Assists the Internal Audit Director with consulting engagements as needed.Requirements:Knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Knowledge and skill in database management functions.Ability to write reports, prepare business letters, and summaries using proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar.Ability to read and interpret reports, financial statements, working papers, and any supporting documentation.Ability to apply mathematical concepts as needed.Ability to work independently and part of a team, requesting supervisory assistance as needed.Knowledge of organization or department operations, services, and policies.Knowledge of auditing (General and IT) standards.Ability to interact effectively and establish rapport with a wide variety of people in diverse settings.Proficient in applying information systems audit principles, skills, and techniques.Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Effective time management and multi-tasking abilities.Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years ofaudit, accounting, IT, and/or lottery experience.Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is preferred.Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is preferred.This position is eligible for partial telework.
