Da Kine’s Kava is looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing bartender to join our team. We are Durham’s only kava bar, looking for 1 or 2 part-time bartenders to help us with front of house operations. This includes preparing drinks (as well as pre-batching), making recommendations, and handling tabs/payments. We are looking for someone who feels comfortable moving quickly, multi-tasking, and performing all front of house roles, and who would eventually feel comfortable working with minimal supervision.
We are looking for candidates who are able to work between three and five 5-hour shifts (15-25 hours), with some night and weekend availability required. Ideal candidates will have excellent attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a positive attitude with strong communication skills. Existing knowledge of food service or hospitality is required, knowledge of kava/kratom/CBD is a plus. Pay includes an hourly rate depending on experience + great tips!
