A thriving bakery/restaurant in Oxford, NC is seeking an experienced Prep Cook to join our busy team. We work with high quality and often locally sourced ingredients, distributing thoughtfully prepared meals all over the Triangle and serving breakfast and lunch from a busy local store front.
The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting with basic kitchen tasks to ensure efficient meal production. Duties include washing and chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, preparing simple (and not so simple) recipes, building broths and stews, packaging and labeling food, maintaining cleanliness, and following food safety standards.
The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while supporting the kitchen team. Hours: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM… though days and hours are flexible. Compensation: $15–$20 per hour, including a shared employee tip pool. Pay depends on experience, and level at which you are able to immediately contribute. (Full Time employees are categorized as working at least 35 hours per week.)
