Strong analysis fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent written & verbal communication skills to present/communicate ideas effectively across different audiences, such as customers and internal stakeholders.

Ability to successfully manage your tasks and complete them in a timely manner.

Hands-on experience using tools to configure, deploy and/or troubleshoot Cisco or other vendors' products and solutions.

Ability to identify network topologies, build lab setups and collaborate with multiple technologies to replicate and resolve problems.

Willingness to learn new skills to support different technologies and adapt to business needs.

Strong ability to work with different cross-functional teams.

Ability to work in a collaborative environment with minimal supervision.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education :

Bachelor's degree from an accredited College/University in a Computer Science or related technical discipline (preferred but not required)

NOTE: If no college degree, then 4 additional years of relevant work experience is required.

Required Experience :

3+ years of relevant experience

Required Skills & Abilities :

Analyze traffic and packet flows using packet analyzers such as Wireshark, Nmap, Metasploit, Kali for Pen Testing and offensive security.

Admin troubleshooting experience of Linux-based hosts, servers, and devices (Performance issues, logs analysis and user management)

Ability to manage, configure and troubleshoot technologies based on certificates (PKI, SSL, TLS, VPN, Man-in-the-middle decryption)

Ability to understand, explain and troubleshoot Authentication Protocols and Standards (LDAP, Radius, SAML, SSO, etc.)

Desired Technical Skills:

3-5+ years of related experience involving high-level customer support in Security technologies.

Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP stack, Routing/Switching, SSL/TLS, common Application Layer protocols

Knowledge and troubleshooting experience of Site-to-Site, DMVPN, IPsec, FlexVPN, Remote Access VPN, GETVPN.

Knowledge and experience in at least one of the network security technologies: Cybersecurity, Firewall, IPS.

Working experience of VPN on different products like Cisco Router, Firewalls – ASA/NGFW.

Experience with using Wireshark to analyze captures for troubleshooting.

Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Certifications:

CCNP Security and or CCIE ( preferred, other security certifications are also highly appreciated).

Location :

Raleigh, NC; will consider alternate locations based on qualifications

Security Clearance Level :

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting

The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to be a U.S. Citizen and to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.
