Job Title: Superintendent of ConstructionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee Warehouse/Trucking Terminal Projects nationwide. The role involves managing on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, labor, and materials, and performing hands-on carpentry work. The ideal candidate will ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project plans while collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to achieve project goals within specified timelines.Responsibilities
Oversee on-site construction activities while actively engaging in hands-on carpentry work.
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, labor, and materials on the construction site.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to project plans.
Perform basic carpentry tasks as needed, including framing, installation/repairs, Misc Metal work, finishing, and repairs.
Collaborate with the project manager to ensure project goals are achieved within the specified timeline.
Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Implement and enforce safety protocols on the construction site, actively participating in safety initiatives.
Provide on-site leadership, guidance, and support to the construction team.
Essential Skills
Proven experience as a construction site supervisor with hands-on carpentry skills.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Proficient in various carpentry tasks, including framing, PEMB, light gauge metal framing, finishing, general carpentry, and repairs.
Ability to lead and coordinate on-site construction activities effectively.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Basic understanding of project management principles.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Relevant certifications in carpentry or construction supervision are a plus.
Ability to manage and prioritize tasks while working in a dynamic construction environment.
