Job Skills / RequirementsSpecific Duties and Essential Functions:Effectively manage and coordinate security operations and assigned team members.Implement operator training program.Ensure scheduling and payroll matters are completed.Complete career development reviews for team members, and conduct disciplinary action as required.Development of internal and external relationships with client stakeholders to gain an understanding of and recognize their intelligence requirements.Produces actionable intelligence information for delivery to security operations, executive management, and customers through daily and weekly updates, incident reporting, threat reporting, and requests for information.Proof-read briefings, white papers, and executive summaries attend meetings, and perform other tasks to support the Global Operations Manager.Advise the organization on technical aspects of office administration/support functions including providing internal reports/from control and file management; develop and implement office administration procedures.Participate in business continuity exercises, internal reviews, and self-assessments.Developing employee skills and performance through training and coachingProviding feedback on an employee’s performance, helping to develop an employee’s skills where needed, and addressing performance problems.Monitoring employee attendance and performance to ensure that they meet required standards of conduct and performance.Assigning tasks to employees according to their strengths and weaknessesThe Ideal Candidate-Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:Must possess one or more of the following:High School diploma or equivalentMinimum of 4 years of verifiable and successful experience supervising a security operations center and/or physical security team utilizing access control software.Associate degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Business, Economics, Systems Engineer, Computer Science or similarMust obtain and maintain any Security Officer License required by local law.Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:Work history to include strong use of information and communications technology.Minimum of two (2) years working in a GSOC/SOC environment.Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a management or supervisory role.Preferred (not required) the experience is in crisis management, security, emergency response, or emergency communications field.Consideration will be given to candidates with strong leadership skills and a management background in other fields.Skills Required:Must be fluent in English, fluent in Spanish is a plus but not a requirement.Proficient computer skills including Windows 11, Slack, and Google Suite and/or comparable software (Microsoft Office)Experience working with access control software, critical incident, mass notification software, and open-source intelligence applications.Excellent oral, and written communication, and time management skills.Active listening skillsAbility to set expectations and lead a diverse team to accomplish organizational initiatives.Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to produce detailed, concise, and timely work products under pressure.Other:Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higherMust be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United StatesMust have demonstrated the ability to prepare and present complex intelligence reports, program performance, and other relevant information professionally, including written reports, verbal presentations, and briefings to senior management.Must not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable.Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated if prior military.Physical Requirements and EnvironmentEnvironment: Office/Control Center; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected.Major activity: Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting or standing.Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, including some standing, bending, limited stretching, and reaching.A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
