OverviewKimley-Horn is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Product Owner to join our Technology Solutions team. As a Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in the software development process by ensuring that business needs are clearly understood and translated into actionable requirements. You will be a bridge across business, sales, marketing, development, and practice stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration to deliver high-quality software products. Your responsibilities will include the product vision, maintaining the product backlog, and ensuring the delivery of value to the end-users. This is a highly cross-functional role with great opportunity to expand Kimley-Horn’s software business in its next stages of growth.This is an in office position.Responsibilities

Define and communicate the product vision, value, strategy, and roadmap

Monitor product financials and metrics against goals and budget

Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria

Develop process flows, and other documentation to support the development and implementation of software features and solutions

Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to elicit requirements and gain a deep understanding of stakeholder needs

Coordinate with marketing, sales, and UX/UI to identify market research, user feedback, and business needs

Provide support and timely communication to stakeholders, including marketing and sales teams, to ensure successful go-to-market strategies and customer adoption of new software features and solutions

Participate in product launches including demonstrations and presentations to effectively communicate the features, benefits, and value proposition of our solutions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

5+ years of relevant experience in a product owner or business analyst role

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile team

Self-starter and excellent time management and prioritization skills

Experience leading teams and mentoring staff

Effective communicator with emotional intelligence

Experience working in and communicating about modern SaaS technical solutions

Ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and prospective clients

Ability to forge strong relationships with clients, partners, and within the team

Preferred:

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification

Familiarity with UX/UI design principles

Familiarity with Design Thinking and Human-Centered Design principles

Lean or Six Sigma certification
