Become a part of our caring community and help us put health firstHumana's Corporate Communications organization is seeking an Internal Communications Lead who will support IT to join the Internal Communications Team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to step into the position of senior counselor on engagements with high-profile partners executing business-driving decisions. You will work closely with business partners and teammates at all levels of the IT and Communications teams to prepare for and manage through IT-wide business initiatives and messaging.In addition to providing strategic counsel, you will play a hands-on role in building and executing the team's annual communications plan. Throughout the year, you will be responsible for directing a broad range of communication activities across a variety of channels to maximize messaging opportunities and effectiveness. This role requires someone invigorated by challenges, complex subject matter and critical thinking. You will need to excel at managing relationships, adapt easily to changing circumstances and challenges and have a growth mindset.This is a remote role, open to qualified candidates based anywhere in the U.S. This is a nationwide remote role, however, you will be required to work Eastern Standard Time business hours.Key Role Functions

Lead communications strategy for various initiatives within Humana IT, implementing communications tactics that prioritize message delivery and employee engagement both within the team and to the broader organization

Advise teams and leaders on best practices and proven internal communication approaches that enable successful transformation, and deliver the tactical plans and communications materials to support them

Counsel business partners on communication strategies and execution, recommending innovative ways for teams to connect with internal and external stakeholders

Develop change communication strategies, plans and narratives to drive message alignment and consistency across IT and the enterprise

Establish discipline around measurement and reporting outcomes, setting and measuring against KPIs to inform decision making and measure success

Execute digital content strategy and manage digital content across various channels.

Produce executive-level communications and events

Translate IT strategy into effective messaging that aligns with broader Humana goals, inspires IT associates and establishes IT as a thought leader in the digital space

Serve as an IT communications subject matter expert and consultative resource for the broader Corporate Communications Team

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Corporate Communications colleagues, cross-functional business teams and company leadership

Present exceptional writing, presentation and project management skills with keen attention to detail across all tasks and deliverables

Demonstrate a strong track record of developing successful strategies and content for multiple internal communication channels

Share examples of recent employee-facing executive communications and presentations, change/technical communications and leader resources

Use your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in journalism, communications, public relations or relevant field

10+ years of recent experience in corporate, employee or technology communications focused on driving enterprise-wide change and transformation

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving employee experiences

Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time business hours

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with technology communications or other large-scale change and transformation work within a corporate, healthcare or agency setting

Background in health care communications

Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
