Description:This Data Analyst will work closely with IT development staff and business representatives to analyze requirements and develop ETL processes for transferring data across multiple platforms. They will be responsible for writing and optimizing SQL queries to support corporate reporting. Additionally, this position will play a vital role in the lifecycle of various applications, including creating data mappings, building data migration processes, and designing databases for transactional data models, data warehouses, and data martsThis client is a private, non-profit organization protecting the interests of farm and rural families across North Carolina. This client is the largest domestic property and casualty insurance company in the state. This company is owned and controlled by our policyholders through an elected Board of Directors. With a network of agents located throughout the state, they now provide insurance for farm and non-farm policyholders alike in all 100 counties of North Carolina. They have over $1.8 billion in assets, write over $1 billion of premium annually, and hold an A.M. Best Company, Inc. rating of A (excellent).Team:Responsible for all the policy information related to claim, billing and policy. If there is new development work in the IT department, this team creates the database for them. If a new application is designed or an enhancement within an existing application is created and they need new capabilities to store new data, this team is responsible for it. This team is responsible for reporting, dashboard creation and ETL processes.The teams dashboard is used for marketing folks (customer and claims departments). They use this data to evaluate KPI’s for the companies goal (ex: how many new policies to create compared to previous years) and managers use this to see how close/how far they are from their goals. Collaborate with business and development teams to analyze and resolve data and process issues. Troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries for enhanced performance. Design and develop ETL processes to transfer data from various platforms to meet business requirements. Work with Senior Staff to develop logical data models (LDM) and physical data models (PDM) supporting operational databases, Data Warehouses, and BI applications. Develop and maintain reports across the entire business, ensuring data integrity. Monitor day-to-day batch jobs, communicate and troubleshoot issues related to data integrity, database design, and software tools. A four-year degree with courses in Computer Science or Information Systems.

Minimum of three years' experience in a development or analysis role in an enterprise setting.

Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks independently without supervision. Demonstrated strong organization and time management skills.

Expertise in building and optimizing complex SQL queries for improved performance.

Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

Develop, maintain, and administer complex ETL processes using SQL Server SSIS.

Proficiency in Visual Studio and SQL Server Reporting Services for report development.

Solid understanding of Relational Database Design and Data Warehousing methodologies and best practices.

Experience with data modeling tools such as Power Designer.

Remote/onsite: 3 options

Two days WFH (Friday and any other day, your choice)

Flexible work hours (ex: 10 hours per day, 1 day off or 9 hours per day with ½ day off)

Regular onsite M-F
