Description Robert Half has partnered with a growing Not for Profit organization in Raleigh to assist them in hiring an experienced Controller. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years experienced in a Controller or Accounting Manager role and a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. This Controller must be well versed in QuickBooks and a CPA would be a plus. This position is responsible for all finance and accounting activities (e.g. A/R, A/P, audit, budgeting, reporting, purchasing, risk management and human resourcesJob duties will include Perform accounts receivables and payables Perform all banking functions including deposits, credit card processing & reconciliations Process payroll taxes Prepare general ledger entries Manage all accounting tasks, including cash and accrual basis financials Preparation of the annual budget Prepare documents needed for the 990 and work with the outside tax accountant Annual audit and work with outside auditor Prepare fixed assets Sales Tax reportingRequirements Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Demonstrated experience in Auditing and Month End Close Competence in managing General Ledger and Accrual Accounting Proficient in Financial Statement Preparation Experienced in Cash Management and Cash Forecasting Skilled in Budgeting and Forecasting Must be able to manage Monthly Sales Tax Experience in Risk Analysis is required Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is essential Knowledge of Benefits Administration is required Must have experience in managing Payroll for under 100 Employees Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
