Responsibilities
Complete calibrations, qualifications, and preventive maintenance with accurate and timely GxP documentation, following company or client-specific policies and procedures, in a safe manner.
Perform flow, conductivity, pH, mass, and dimensional calibrations with guidance.
Handle and maintain company and client equipment, including testing and standards equipment.
Learn to troubleshoot and perform repairs, with the majority of work focused on scheduled calibrations and maintenance events.
Proactively assess project safety concerns and ensure team members comply with all client site safety requirements.
Strategically assess client environments, needs, and requirements to develop and initiate effective solutions, delivering successful execution through established solid relationships with clients.
Essential Skills
2+ years of calibration experience.
Experience with manufacturing equipment.
Experience with calibration including loop checks, humidity, temperature, and pH checks.
Experience with process equipment, utilities, manufacturing, and some lab instruments.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (preferred but will provide certification course).
Experience with 4-20mA transmitters (loop calibrations).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
A two-year degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or other related technical field, or equivalent military training.
Experience in Metrology, Instrumentation, Calibration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Quality System / Pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
Expanded understanding of Traceability, Substitution of Standards, and Test Accuracy and Uncertainty Ratios.
Expanded understanding of calibration concepts and requirements including accuracy testing requirements.
Ability to make independent decisions within defined scope of work, seeking clarification and directions when needed.
Self-driven with the ability to work with little direction.
Basic understanding and application of GMP's and Life Science Industry regulations.
Basic understanding and application of instrument, equipment, and loop calibrations in various manufacturing, utilities, and laboratory environments.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with clients and coworkers.
Thorough knowledge of electrical panels and safety practices.
Work EnvironmentThis is a fully onsite role in a construction setting at a greenfield site with a very heavy construction presence. It is important to stress the environment and safety awareness to candidates. The role involves working Monday to Friday during the day to start. Steel-toed boots are required and will be reimbursed. Employees will receive OSHA 10 training if they do not already have certification. The environment provides exposure to complex calibrations and challenges as they support a number of greenfield facility builds and site expansions, allowing for varied industry exposure. No mandatory overtime and optional overtime paid at time and a half of base rate. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $40.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
