Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description Durham based company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with a background in real estate, a proven track record in team supervision and proficiency in Yardi software. The ideal candidate will also have a CPA license. This role requires managing the accounting department operations, ensuring all financial transactions, auditing, and reporting are done accurately and efficiently.Responsibilities:Oversee all accounting operations including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and month end closeMonitor and analyze accounting data for regular financial reports.Lead and manage the accounting team ensuring efficiency, productivity, and deadline adherence.Set internal controls for financial transactions and create policies for operational procedures.Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.Comply with state and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.Assist in budget preparation and financial planning.Develop financial strategies to enhance profitability while maintaining strict compliance with accounting laws and regulations.Streamline accounting functions and operations using advanced Yardi software.Requirements Significant experience in managing accounting functions, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Demonstrated skills in auditing, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail Familiarity with general ledger management and month-end close procedures Proven ability to manage journal entries and bank reconciliations Experience with CAM reconciliation procedures Ability to generate and analyze monthly financial reporting Proficiency in Yardi Software for accounting processes Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred CPA certification and public accounting experience would be a plusRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
