We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time (M-F 730a - 430p) Preschool Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant and nurturing educational environment. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting our lead teachers in creating a stimulating and safe learning space for our young learners. Your warm and caring demeanor will help foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, ensuring each child feels valued and encouraged in their educational journey.
Responsibilities:
1. Classroom Support: Completed classroom curriculum for the year that you teach from.
2. Student Supervision: Monitor and supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities to maintain their safety and well-being.
3. Individual Attention: Pay special attention to the needs of each child, offering personalized support and encouragement to help them thrive socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
4. Behavior Management: Promote positive behavior and implement classroom management strategies to maintain a respectful and orderly learning environment.
5. Learning Resources: Assist in the setup and organization of classroom materials, ensuring all educational resources are readily available and well-maintained.
6. Communication: Establish effective communication with parents and caregivers to provide updates on their child's progress, addressing any concerns or queries promptly and professionally.
7. Health and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and hygienic classroom environment, guiding children in developing good hygiene habits.
8. Playtime Facilitation: Participate in playtime activities and interact with children to encourage social development and cooperative play.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably have completed early childhood education coursework or hold relevant certifications.
2. Experience: 2 years preschool or daycare setting.
3. Compassion: Demonstrate a genuine love for children and a strong desire to contribute to their growth and development.
4. Team Player: Collaborate effectively with lead teachers, staff, and parents to create a harmonious learning environment.
5. Patience and Flexibility: Adapt to the diverse needs and learning styles of each child, and remain patient and flexible in handling varying situations.
6. Communication Skills: Display excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
7. Safety Awareness: Prioritize child safety and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
