Construction company in Durham, NC has an immediate need for a full time full charge on-site bookkeeper. Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task.
Required experience:
Minimum 2 years bookkeeping experience
A solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures
Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Organized with high degree of attention to detail
Ethical and honest
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Input invoices, receipts, etc. into QuickBooks
Prepare payroll and submit payroll taxes
Pay vendors and prepare bank deposits
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
Maintain the General Ledger
Prepare quarterly and year-end PR tax forms
AR and AP aging reports
Maintain vendor and employee files
Knowledge of construction industry a plus
NC Notary Public, or willingness to become a notary, a plus
