Grow. with us.To save time applying, Toyota does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for this position at this time.Who We’re Looking ForToyota’s Environmental & Facilities Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Operations Engineer – Environmental Engineering.The primary responsibility of this role is to support manufacturing operations at the Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina plant.Reporting to the Manager – Environmental & Facilities Operations, the person in this role will support the Environmental & Facilities Departments objective to ensure facility system operations for the new Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina Liberty site.What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of an Environmental Management System (EMS) in accordance with ISO 14001 standards.

Facilitate internal audits and prepare for external certification audits to maintain ISO 14001 certification.

Use data analytics to track environmental KPIs and support decision-making processes.

Develop and lead community outreach programs to educate the public about the plant's environmental initiatives, recycling efforts, and sustainability goals.

Investigate environmental incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of environmental performance, incidents, and compliance activities.

Ensure proper operation and maintenance of stormwater control measures to minimize runoff contamination.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical degree

Operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including hands on experience with production

Experience making KPI improvements for cost, operational rate, quality, etc.

Experience managing project budgets

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint

Ability to work up to 20% overtime as needed

Ability to travel up to 10% as needed

Added Bonus If You Have

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including hands on experience with production

Experience in automotive manufacturing environment

Experience in battery manufacturing

Experience with Toyota Production System or similar lean methodologies
