Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk at our Kings Mountain, North Carolina location. The successful candidate will be tasked with a range of accounting, clerical, and financial responsibilities, contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of our accounting department. Responsibilities: Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications. Maintain and update accounting documents and records with a high level of accuracy. Post transactions to the general ledger and prepare financial statements. Conduct regular account reconciliations in a timely manner. Enter financial transaction data daily into our database. Offer assistance and support to other company personnel as needed. Investigate, track, and resolve any accounting or documentation discrepancies. Compile reports and summaries on various activity areas for management. Maintain an up-to-date job knowledge in line with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws. Manage account balances and identify outstanding debts or inconsistencies. Requirements Proficiency in Data Entry, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Capable of managing comprehensive Documentation Expertise in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis Ability to provide effective Training on financial processes and procedures Understanding and execution of financial Procedures Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Strong Research skills, particularly in a financial context Proficient in using Database systems for record keeping Ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks as needed Experience in Clerical Duties within a financial department Knowledge of General Ledger operations Proficiency in using Spreadsheets for financial tasks Experience in Financial Reporting and creating Summary Reports Ability to handle Filing tasks efficiently Familiarity with Bookkeeping Functions and best practices Ability to identify and rectify any Discrepancy in financial data Basic Video conferencing skills, preferably with Microsoft Teams Knowledge of Word Processing software for documentation Familiarity with Debt Financing procedures Experience in managing Financial Transactions and Record Keeping Comfortable in using 'Go' for various financial operations.
