DescriptionUtility Lines Construction ServicesJob Title: Fleet CoordinatorJob Description: Reporting directly to the Region Fleet Manager, this position assists with managing, directing, and leading operations and servicing functions concerning the ULCS Fleet in Region 102, including acquisition and replacement, equipment rental, vendor and customer strategy, planning, cost control, process implementation, remarketing, and operational excellence.Pay:

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide leadership, management, and oversight of fleet and maintenance operations within the region.

Partner with Region leadership on operational and strategic issues as they arise and provide strategic recommendations based on analysis and projections. Engage all members of the leadership team to align operational management with short and long-term planning and projections.

Ensure the efficient and effective process of vehicle and equipment repairs and rapid turnaround of vehicles and equipment. Manage fleet and maintenance quality assurance and quality control programs.

Ensure the efficient and effective process of vehicle and equipment rentals, including rapid acquisition and turn-in policies.

Ensure the efficient and effective process of vehicle and equipment remarketing, including prompt removal of vehicles and equipment designated for retirement, delivery to remarketing vendors, and collection of remarketing funds.

Assist in maintaining ANSI/Dielectric & DOT compliance for all vehicles and assets.

Assist with Pos and requisitions.

Use extensive knowledge to review and negotiate pricing for the repair and maintenance services, ensuring that pricing levels meet company standards.

Use part pricing knowledge to negotiate and set parts pricing mark up with vendors.

Manage the recall process for all OEMs, logs information, identify affected units, notify field, and tracks progression until completed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Direct experience in Fleet Management or Project Management.

High School diploma or equivalent, associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

Prior management role in a comparable size diverse, multi-location organization.

5+ years of mechanical experience.

Experience with large fleet management across a distributed business model.

Demonstrated skills in leadership, business planning, financial analysis, negotiation, and customer satisfaction skills.

Strong analytical skills and experience translating a strategic vision into an actionable operational model. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and an ability to identify problems, design and articulate solutions, and implement change.

Ability to work effectively in a business environment characterized by complexity, ambiguity, and rapid change.

Ability to establish clear priorities quickly and to work effectively under pressure, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Strong presentation skills, excellent written communication, and ability to sell ideas and vision to leaders.

Experience using MS Office Suite, ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, as well as Fleet Management Software (i.e. Fleetwave, Fleetio)

Must be able to be present on-site during the work week. No telecommuting.

Traveling Requirements:

Must be willing to travel out of state for emergency storm work or meetings as needed.

Driver License:

A valid driver’s license is required, CDL is preferred or must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months of employment.

Safety:

Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must have sufficient eyesight to judge distance/coordination of equipment and tools, be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments, be able to wear personal protective equipment as necessary, be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day, have the endurance necessary to traverse various terrain, be capable of performing job duties throughout a standard 8 or 10-hour day, be able to communicate with others, read, write, and comprehend written/verbal job instructions and information, and communicate and handle conflict professionally.
