About the Company:
We are a well-established home décor and furniture brand expanding our operations in CA and Morganton, NC. As we launch a new assembly and light manufacturing facility, we are hiring skilled upholstery and wood assembly workers, up to an experienced mid-level supervisor, to lead daily production operations. This is a unique opportunity to grow with a company focused on craftsmanship, global collaboration, and continuous improvement. Bilingual Mandarin-English is required for the job responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Proficiency in reading fabric/woodcut lists or job tickets
Experience with material handling and quality control inspection
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and stand for extended periods
Previous experience in upholstered furniture production or cabinet/wood assembly is preferred
Additional Responsibilities (based on experience):
Lead and supervise a team of 10–15 upholstery and wood assembly workers in daily operations
Maintain and enforce high standards of product quality, production efficiency, and workplace safety
Collaborate with overseas partners (primarily in China) to ensure clear communication regarding materials, methods, and production timelines.
Assist in the development and implementation of workflows, staffing plans, and standard operating procedures during the facility launch phase.
Train, coach, and support team members to meet performance, quality, and delivery targets
Track material usage, monitor output levels, and assist with basic reporting using internal systems
Oversee upholstery frame building and foam application, ensuring accuracy and structural integrity.
Utilize hand tools, pneumatic staplers, and industrial sewing machines to support production as needed.
Apply lean manufacturing principles such as 5S or Kaizen to drive continuous improvement.
Use basic ERP tools (e.g., NetSuite, Excel) to support scheduling and production tracking.
Lead root cause analysis for quality or workflow issues and implement corrective actions.
Promote and enforce safety standards; OSHA awareness or training is strongly preferred, especially in a startup environment.
Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience in upholstery or furniture manufacturing, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken, written, and read)
Proven leadership skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach
Experience in startup or new facility environments is strongly preferred
Ability to read and interpret production specifications, work orders, and material requirements
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive compensation: $42,000 – $78,000/year, depending on qualifications

管理软体家具框架制作及泡棉安装，确保精度与结构完整性
根据需要，使用手动工具、气动订书枪及工业缝纫机支持生产
应用精益生产方法（如5S或Kaizen）推动持续改进
使用基本ERP工具（如 NetSuite、Excel）支持排程和生产追踪
主导品质或工作流程问题的根本原因分析，并实施纠正措施
推动并执行安全规范；有OSHA意识或培训背景者在初创工厂环境中尤为受欢迎
任职资格：
至少5年以上软体家具或家具制造的实际经验，其中至少2年以上为主管或组长职位
能流利使用中文和英文进行口头、书面及阅读交流
具备领导能力，注重团队合作，积极参与现场作业
有初创或新设工厂工作经验者优先
能够阅读与理解生产规格、工单和物料需求清单
具备良好的沟通能力、组织能力与问题解决能力
