Job Description:
These jobs offered by Statesville Brick include two different production lines. One being a monorail in the packaging department, where you will grade and unload brick off the kiln cars by hand and place them into metal containers for packaging. The second production line is the wet line in the loading department, where you pick up the brick off a conveyor belt and properly stack them on a kiln car. This work environment is hot, and the jobs are physically demanding. These jobs also require you to be able to lift 20 – 35 pounds consecutively throughout the day.

Pay Scale:
Both production jobs start out at a training wage of $20 an hour for a 60-day learning period. Average earnings for these production lines are between $20 to $50 an hour, but the sky is the limit when working a production-based job. How much you earn is up to you. Each line has its own designated pay scale per car. Your daily earnings are calculated based on your hourly rate and the production rate, and you will be paid the higher amount.
Responsibilities:
Be responsible.
Arrive at work on time.
Must be able to work their assigned schedule with no interruptions.
(Packaging) Unload and properly grade brick from a kiln car and load it into a jig box.
(Loading) picking up brick off a conveyor belt and properly stacking them on a kiln car.
Work well and together with others to complete the set number of cars per shift.
Clean up the area at the end of the shift.
Skills Required:
Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment.
Lift up to 40 pounds.
Be able to work safely and efficiently.
Ability to follow directions and work as a team.
