Permanent farm assistant

Parttime position open for person with farm experience. The farm is located in the Vale area of Lincoln County, about 18 miles south of Hickory. The candidate must have experience with rural life and farm activity and will work about 20 hours a week, including some weekends assisting the farm manager. Activities include feeding and care of cattle, livestock, gardening , maintenance of equipment, fences, and grounds, production of hay and upkeep of buildings. During inclement weather, greenhouse and equipment repairs, etc. will be on the schedule. Pay will start at $14 an hour and will be negotiated based on experience.
