Description:Opportunity to work with the 4th largest growing laboratory in the country. Day to day will include processing lab specimens (human body fluids, tissues, clinical specimens, and microbiological isolates) to ensure accurate and quality results for patient care. Due to the expected growth in this lab, candidates must be comfortable to assist in areas throughout core lab as well as adapting to a changing environment with new instruments and testing methods for the growing volume. Ensure quality control procedures are performed and documented per lab policy. 2. Identify and resolve QC or equipment issues 3. Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform full range of laboratory testing as well as communicate effectively with medical staff. 4. Ability to perform or learn microbiological testing. 5. Will be testing samples using molecular analysis, serological analysis, isolation and identification of microorganisms or their antigens/nucleic acids. 6. Evaluate, interpret, and validate lab results and report findings. 7. Maintain an inventory of lab supplies and order as needed to ensure testing needs are met. 8. Assist in preparations of epidemiology and/or statistical reports from data complied on a daily, weekly, monthly, or annual basis. 9. Maintain competency in all trained areas. 10. Performing related work as required. 11. Maintains a working knowledge of laboratory computer systems. 12. Bachelors in Medical Lab Science or Clinical Lab Science with 0-1 years of experience 13. Associates in Medical Lab Technology with 6 months-1 year of experience 14. ASCP or AMT certification in MLS/MLT/CLS/MT (Candidates are not required to have certifications upon application but must be eligible to sit within 1 year of employment)
