Job Description

The Warehouse Inventory Specialist position maintains the distribution facility's inventory through a warehouse management database as required on a daily basis to meet distribution demands.

Essential Functions:

  1. Conduct cycle counts using a computer database via RF or UI
  2. Reconfiguration of racking
  3. Returns processing
  4. Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with business units and inspection personnel
  5. Record and update all item and location master fields
  6. Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory
  7. Assist with customer returns and evaluate customer complaints to determine validity of the claim
  8. Slot and re-slot products according to the internal ABC velocity strategy and sizing guidelines
  9. Handle emails from planners or product managers to inspect and/or photograph items as needed
  10. Assist VSLs on special projects as directed

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  1. Training in general safety, sexual harassmentprevention, quality system awareness.
  2. Preferably an Associate's degree with a focus in business/computer curriculum
  3. Minimum of one year of inventory control experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Some team lead experience desired
  2. Basic Excel skills
  3. Excellent math skills

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
