Professional Courier/Motor Carrier Company hiring for a route that runs Monday thru Friday, starting immediately. Does not run weekends. Will need a pickup truck or SUV that can haul a 6,500 lb trailer. Towing experience required, even if it is minor. CDL's not required, but a plus. Would be a great job for a former trucker who is used to hauling something larger, and wants to be home every night. Would be delivering bulk meals to afterschool programs and senior facilities. Not a job for someone who wants to sit in a vehicle all day. Gotta be a go-getter. Heaviest item to pick up would be a 20 lb box of milk, however we do use hand trucks and carts to move items.
Would be delivering in or just outside of Triad area. Would be 35 - 43 hours a week pulling the trailer. Route will be between 50 and 125 miles aday, approx. Home base where we load and unload is in Winston Salem. Pay is every 2 weeks on direct deposit.
Will drive own vehicle. Will be COMPENSATED FULLY for fuel costs.
Requires truck/SUV with towing capacity 6,500 lbs or more, nothing less. If you don't have that, DO NOT APPLY. Trailer is fully enclosed, with refrigerated section and a compartment to house hot meals.
Employee Requirements:
Must pass a drug test before hiring, and always be able to pass one.
Clean driving record.
NO criminal record.
Vehicle must have inspection and registration up-to-date, and must be in good working order. No clunkers.
