Job Title: Handyman

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks around our home. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair work. The Handyman will be responsible for ensuring our home is safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities:
Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
-Carpentry: Repairing or replacing doors, windows, frames, shelves, and furniture.
-Plumbing: Fixing leaky faucets, toilets, and pipes; unclogging drains.
-Electrical: Replacing light fixtures, outlets, and switches; troubleshooting minor electrical issues.
-Painting: Interior and exterior painting, touch-ups, and surface preparation.
-Drywall: Patching holes and cracks, repairing damaged walls.
-Flooring: Repairing or replacing tiles, wood flooring, and carpets.
-Install fixtures and appliances, such as ceiling fans, light fixtures, dishwashers, and washing machines.
-Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance issues.
-Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as cleaning gutters, inspecting roofs, and servicing HVAC systems.
-Assemble furniture and other household items.
-Assist with landscaping and yard maintenance tasks, as needed.
-Respond to homeowner requests for maintenance and repair work in a timely and professional manner.
-Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
-Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and building codes.
-Communicate effectively with the homeowner regarding project status and any issues that arise.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area.
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a Handyman or similar role.
-Strong knowledge of general repair and maintenance techniques.
-Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
-Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
-Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
-Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
-Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills.
-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
-Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Certification or training in a relevant trade (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical).
-Experience with home renovation projects.
Physical Requirements:
-Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
-Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
-Ability to work in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
Compensation:
$25/hr - 8 hours per day
