University K12 Liaison

Description: The Liaison is responsible for coordinating and supporting the development and operations of PK-12 programs within the university and in collaboration with the PK-12 school partners.Primary Function of Organizational Unit: The Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education oversees and coordinates assessment processes across the campus, providing support and information to faculty and programs, and advancing efforts in collecting and using information about student learning.Internal job number: 007565Requirements:Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or and equivalent combination of training and experience.All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.Preferred: Minimum Qualifications:· Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of five (5) years of PK-12 and/or higher education experience in teaching, student success, academic advising, and/or transfer articulation.· Demonstrated personal and professional competence for responsibilities assigned.· Experience with diverse populations is strongly preferred.· Ability to work cooperatively in a congenial and professional manner with minimal supervision with numerous groups across the college, the public school systems, and state and regional groups.· An understanding of and a commitment to traditional and alternate education and the concept of a learning-centered, open admissions institution, higher education philosophy, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and instructional technology.· Demonstrated effective and professional written and oral communication skills and organizational skills.Preferred Qualifications· Master’s degree in education or related field required.· Eight years of experience in an higher education or PK-12 setting.Job Closing Date: 04/24/2024
