Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Chassis Engineering Department supporting the Chassis Equipment & Transport Adaptation team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and self-driven initiative, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Senior Mechanical EngineerLocation: Greensboro, North Carolina, 27401Pay Range: $60 - $65 per hourWhat’s the Job?

Develop and maintain technical solutions for assigned chassis equipment function areas from concept to production phase.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and readiness of engineering design releases.

Perform design activities, including drawings, engineering change releases, and packaging verification.

Support testing, prototype procurement, and endurance testing for components and assemblies.

Resolve product issues, support manufacturing processes, and manage engineering data in the Volvo product management system.

What’s Needed?

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

5-7+ years of product development experience in the commercial vehicle industry or equivalent.

Proficiency in CREO/PRO-E with applied knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and the product development life cycle.

Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with class 8 heavy-duty trucks (preferred).
