If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.What you will doAs a Certification Project manager, you will be responsible for monitoring all aspects of vehicle regulatory compliance for domestic and international markets. This includes learning accurate interpretation of regulations and development of certification test plans as part of complete vehicle projects.This role is integral to our core values – quality, safety, and environmental care. The candidate with the right qualifications will greatly impact and affect our entire business and future success.You will: Collaborate with design engineers in the early stages of product development to ensure compliance ready designs. Conduct project screening and assist translation of project pre-requisites into requirements to meet regulations. Develop and maintain a time plan with key deliverables for Certification Engineering team. Support requests for Third Party Auditor legal documentation archival. Represent Certification in project management teams, design reviews, clinics, etc. Support vehicle regulatory compliance reviews and project fulfilment. Interact with regulatory offices inside Volvo Trucks to homologate North American products in export markets. Participate in Global and North American regulatory network.Your future teamOur team, Complete Vehicle, contributes to deliver the right Products & Services to all Volvo Group brand customers according to product segmentation and brand positioning. We are a team of specialized functions with various responsibilities: Aftermarket technology developing aftermarket solutions for the brands; Features/Verification/Validation breaking down features to technical requirements, as well as verifying and validating products and services; Product Design translating the soul of the brand to a product message; Product Builds delivering all truck and component builds; Special Vehicle Development developing niche products, and Certification & Compliance managing all aspects of regulatory product safety and compliance for domestic products, while also cross-collaborating for international markets. In Complete Vehicle we are close to end customers, understanding their needs and behaviors. In this role, you will bring: CollaborationMindset Ability to Drive Results Customer Focus Quality Decision Making Relationship Building Analytical / Logical way of thinking Excellent Communication skillsRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related degree 3-5+ years of related engineering or project management experience Demonstrated results as a PM in transportation or electric mobility industries. Proven track record as a leader with initiative and personal drive to manage complexities and take ownership in the outcome. General heavy-duty vehicle and MVSS regulatory knowledge preferred. Quality tool skills (Risk analysis, FMEA, Project Assurance quality) Good analytic skill and logical way of thinking. Sound technical judgment and use of structured decision-making techniques. Demonstrated ability to successfully work with technical resources on risk/contingency plans.
