Job DescriptionLogistics Coordinators are responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and routing freight shipments via all modes moving within the U.S. and certain shipments between the U.S. and Canada, and the U.S. and Mexico. They serve as the direct link between the customer and carriers in ensuring that pick-up and delivery times are met, equipment requirements are met, and freight arrives on time.Key job tasks of the Package Truck Operations Coordinator are: Provide daily transportation routing and optimization of shipments. Engage in modal selection of carriers (i.e. full truckload versus less-than-truckload based on weight, service requirements, etc.). Coordinate pickup and delivery with carriers, shipping sites, vendors, warehouses, and others involved in the transportation chain. Assist in analyzing current operating practices and initiating improvement opportunities.Hard Skills
