.Net Developer/Lead – Direct Hire

Greensboro, NC (Flexible Schedule - Onsite/Remote) We are looking for a .Net developer/Lead to build software using languages and technologies of the .NET framework. You will create applications from scratch, configure existing systems and provide system support. In this role, you should be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects. You should be a team player and excellent communicator. If you are also passionate about the .NET framework and software design/architecture, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to work with internal teams to design, develop and maintain software.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in requirements analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
  • Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages.
  • Create, test, and deploy applications and systems.
  • Create, test, and deploy web services and custom APIs.
  • Create, test, and automate data retrieval and back-office processes.
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
  • Improve existing software.
  • Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
  • Works with end user, when required, to understand request or discuss alternatives.
  • Resolves system issues and responds to suggestions for improvements.
  • Responsible for communicating and monitoring compliance with existing practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, and review code from outside developers.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree earned through a 4-year degree program in Computer Science or proven experience as a developer.
  • 5+ years’ programming experience with technologies such as: VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, DHTML, XML, JSON and SQL, HTML5, and JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of architecture styles/APIs.
  • Strong experience with Web servers, web services, portals and reporting tools such as SQL Reporting Services.
  • Experience using and managing Team Foundation Server.
  • Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to find creative solutions to solve problems while staying within practice guidelines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
