Job Description:Class A CDL with clean MVR; prefer a minimum 3 years articulated experience (tractor trailer combination), with previous heavy haul experience a plus & knowledge of FMCSA Cargo Securement Rules. Requires intricate knowledge of proper methods of all loading/unloading procedures ensuring all load limits (we4ight, length, height, width) are not exceeded and load is properly secured. Remain in control & in charge of all loading and unloading of all equipment, again ensuring all load limits are not exceeded and load is properly secured per FMCSA/DOT rules and vehicle capability/rating. Inspect all vehicle systems before/at start-up. Inspect equipment prior to loading and following unloading. Operate equipment to load/unload, including dozer, grader, excavator, backhoe, asphalt paver, asphalt/concrete pavers, placers/spreaders, rollers, compactors, front end loaders, fork lifts, et al. Must be experienced with low profile hydraulic detach neck (lowboy) trailers in excess of 3 axles, and heavy loads in excess of 15 tons. Experience of Minimum of 1 year with heavy haul/wide loads in suburban/city traffic both with and without escort. Performs operator level inspections and maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment at start and end of loads and shifts. Maintains daily route driver log and daily equipment and vehicle inspection.
