REPAIR AND INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN

We lease pool tables, jukeboxes, ATM’S, claw machines, and many other machines to meet the needs of local businesses. We are a fast-growing company with a lively environment. We began our operation in North Carolina over 50 years ago. While our main headquarters is still located in Fayetteville North Carolina, we have continued to expand and currently we service North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, and Florida.
THE POSITION:
Fayetteville is the corporate headquarters for The New Vemco Music Company. We are looking for repair-minded individuals who can repair and assemble equipment in Fayetteville and also travel to our other warehouses in the southeast region to assist with equipment delivery. This position does not require a CDL.
Job task break-down:
- About 70% of work duties spent in Fayetteville:
o assembling and repairing equipment in warehouse
o running service calls for the Fayetteville Service area using company-owned vehicle
- About 30% of work duties travel-based:
o loading box trucks
o traveling in teams of 2 or 4 to deliver new/repaired equipment to our other offices/locations (mainly Savannah, GA and Apopka, FL but other offices as well) – typically for a duration of 1-4 nights away 1-2 times a month
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain overall organization of warehouse
- Assemble and repair equipment in the Fayetteville warehouse
- Run service calls locally (Fayetteville and surrounding area) using company-owned vehicles
- Help load equipment into box trucks for delivery
- Drive box trucks on out-of-town delivery trips
- Deliver/unload and install equipment to other Vemco warehouses and at new locations
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRMENTS:
- Experience using volt ohm meter; effectively use hand and power tools and have your own
- Mechanically inclined and tech-savvy (ex: experience with cat5 wiring, audio wiring, appliance repair, etc.); Proficient in using/learning apps on handheld devices for record keeping
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs regularly
- Ability to travel and stay overnight on delivery trips (additional compensation)
- Available to work rotating on-call schedule for after-hours service calls (additional compensation)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with staff at various locations
- Ability to govern self and work independently
- Must have Driver’s License with a good driving record
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug tests
- Must be able to pass background check
