A "Sales Manager" position in the janitorial industry is responsible for generating new business by selling janitorial cleaning services to potential clients, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and overseeing the sales team to achieve revenue goals, often through direct sales activities, presentations, and ensuring customer satisfaction with ongoing support. Hours are Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM

Key responsibilities may include:

Identifying and prospecting potential new clients in the commercial market through networking, cold calling, and market research.

Delivering detailed presentations to prospective clients outlining the company's cleaning services, pricing structure, and value proposition.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to retain business and identify potential upselling opportunities.

Analyzing market trends and developing sales forecasts to set realistic sales targets and manage budget expectations.

Leading and motivating a sales team, including assigning territories, setting individual goals, and coaching sales representatives to improve performance.

Creating customized cleaning proposals for clients based on their specific needs and site assessments.

Negotiating contract terms with clients to secure profitable business deals.

Addressing client concerns, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies in the janitorial market.

Required skills and qualifications:

Proven experience in sales, preferably in the janitorial or commercial cleaning industry

Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively sell services to clients

Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport and maintain client relationships

Ability to analyze data and develop effective sales strategies

Leadership qualities to manage and motivate a sales team

Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and industry standards

Proficiency in CRM software to manage customer information and sales pipeline
