Maintenance - The Maintenance Technician will perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs to prevent and
resolve safety or comfort issues. He/she will meet regularly with the Operations Manager to prioritize and schedule
tasks and determine when assistance from outside contractors is needed. The Operations Manager will be responsible
for arrangements with all subcontractors but may delegate onsite supervision of the subcontractors to the
Maintenance Technician.
Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems and make minor repairs.
Electrical wiring capabilities to manage minor problems with the building’s lighting and electrical equipment.
Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
Report malfunction of bathroom fixtures, light fixtures and/or damages to any room and hall
furnishings/fixtures to supervisor.
Replace burned out light bulbs throughout inside of Garden facilities.
Dust HVAC filter access points.
Assist facility personnel with maintenance items including golf carts and small engine repair for horticulture
machinery.
Maintain assigned power equipment including and hand tools, auto scrubber, extractor, high pressure washer,
etc., and perform maintenance tasks as needed that require the use of power equipment.
Clean and maintain in safe condition outside designated areas such as sidewalks, entryways, and roof drains.
