Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team in Fayetteville, North Carolina. This role serves in the accountancy industry, focusing on payroll processing for a sizable team spread across multiple locations. Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for both weekly and biweekly schedules. Utilize MS Great Plains Dynamics for managing payroll activities. Handle accounts payable tasks as required, ensuring all payments are appropriately documented and processed. Maintain accurate records of all payroll activities, including taxes and benefits. Address and resolve any payroll-related inquiries or issues from employees. Perform manual payment calculations and processing when necessary. Maintain confidentiality and security of all payroll records and information. Collaborate with the accounting manager to ensure all payroll operations align with company policies and regulations. Regularly review and update payroll procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Assist with other accounting duties as needed. Requirements Possess a minimum of two years of experience in the role of a Payroll Clerk or in a similar accountancy position. Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Full Cycle Payroll. Skilled in handling Payroll Taxes and processing Biweekly and Weekly Payroll. Familiarity with MS Great Plains Dynamics is essential. Experience in managing Benefits Payroll. Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and work with sensitive data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to liaise effectively with other teams. Strong organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail, to ensure accurate and efficient payroll procedures. Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
