Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

Description: We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team in providing exceptional care for a young man with complex medical needs. This individual requires round-the-clock support due to being non-mobile, non-verbal, and facing multiple medical challenges including Microcephaly, cerebral palsy, and severe developmental delays. As a private duty nurse, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for this individual while ensuring their safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to meet the medical, physical, and emotional needs of the patient.

- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by the healthcare team.

- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the patient's condition to the appropriate medical personnel.

- Assist with activities of daily living, including feeding, bathing, and toileting.

- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.

- Communicate effectively with the patient, their family, and other members of the healthcare team.

- Ensure a safe and clean environment for the patient.

Qualifications:

- Active LPN or RN license in good standing.

- Previous experience in pediatric nursing or caring for individuals with complex medical needs preferred.

- Strong clinical skills and the ability to assess and respond to medical emergencies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Flexibility to work 10 to 12-hour shifts per day, up to 84 hours per week to accommodate a rotating schedule with another nurse.
