DescriptionJob Summary:This position is the entry level position for individuals responsible for any fabrication necessary and on time production of parts. This position includes MIG welding and grinding panels, fitting pipes and tightening them, cutting different materials on different machines and processes, and maintaining the upkeep as necessary on welders. The focus of this position is producing steel parts in a timely and satisfactory manner. Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):

High School Diploma or equivalency preferred. A combination of education and related work experience will be considered.

6 months to 1 year of work experience

Attention to detail

Ability to read and understand blueprints

Proficient with hand tools

Able to read a tape measure and other measuring devices

Demonstrate welding knowledge and skills through welding assessment

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow all safety procedures.

Must be able to measure to 1/16th of an inch .

Must be able to pass a steel MIG test.

Ability to cooperate with a team well in a fast-paced environment.

Know how to operate each saw and cutting machine as well as what materials to cut with each.

Determine if own work is complete and correct as specified by instructions, drawings and specifications. Work independently and cooperatively. Coordinate daily tasks with others to align priorities for smooth assembly operations .

Ability to read/execute blueprints and engineering sketches .

Must have troubleshooting skills .

Ability to operate welder and replace gas cylinder or other parts.

Ability to use hand and power tools.

The main function of this role is the welding and grinding of panels. The welder will reference engineering documents to guide them in the building of structures and the fabrication of parts.

Additional responsibilities and objectives will be added as needed based on business and area of needs.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Must be able to lift 50lbs, manipulate heavy test equipment, and cables.Manual dexterity to operate digital equipment, including computers and PLC’s, protective relays, controllers, and other such equipment with small fine buttons and operators.Required to stand and walk for extended periods of time on the manufacturing floor throughout the day.The work environment associated with this role can take place either indoors or outdoors depending on the nature of the project. Tolerance for various weather elements may be necessary.
